Jamie DeFilippis – Founder and General Manager of Vivant Aesthetics and Wellness

Jamie DeFilippis, a goal-oriented and results-driven manager of Vivant Aesthetics, has embraced her career in the medical spa industry for over two decades. Cultivating great relationships with clients, as well as staying involved in her community, show Jamie’s dependable and reliable character frequently discussed by peers and other highly respected individuals in the industry.  Jamie successfully managed other medical spa facilities prior to Vivant Aesthetics where her dedication to her position led to tremendous success in optimizing profitability, expansion of offered services as well as recruitment of highly skilled employees facilitating superior performance.  Expert in maximizing efficiency and exceeding expectations for clients, Jamie stays motivated to provide great customer service and stay up to date with the rapidly evolving aesthetic industry.  Dedication to success and belief in teamwork effort led to forming honorable relationships with coworkers and physicians in the industry.  Implementing marketing techniques, and creating new strategies for running a newly opened Vivant Aesthetics, are a few of the many roles Jamie has taken as a general manager.  

Outside of work, Jamie is a happy mom of three boys and is busy attending her children’s school functions and sporting events. To some, it may be difficult to manage a medical spa while at the same time running a household, yet Jamie is loving the challenge.  Being a leader with a passion for greatness, she is able to handle all that comes her way.  

Aleksandra Bielawiec, FNP, DNP

Aleksandra Bielawiec, DNP

Aleksandra Bielawiec, DNP, NP, is a nurse practitioner and an esthetic injector at Vivant Med Spa in Itasca Illinois, who has specialized in dermatology and aesthetic medicine for the past 16 years. She attended Roosevelt University and received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology before pursuing an interest in nursing, graduating with honors at DePaul University with a Master’s degree in nursing and receiving a nurse practitioner certification. As a result of her determination and desire to help others achieve their best health outcomes, Sandra received her nursing doctorate.

Sandra’s interest in aesthetics started early in her nursing career. Learning facial proportions and the art of facial “beautification” has always been a goal, even while working in intensive care units and emergency rooms for seven years. After Sandra left hospital nursing, she put all of her efforts and energy into becoming a well-respected injector in the esthetic community.

With over a decade of experience, Sandra offers her cosmetic patients a unique approach to treatment, utilizing experience, knowledge, attention to detail, and an artistic eye for the best results. Her areas of expertise include non-surgical facial rejuvenation, specializing in a variety of injection techniques, as well as a holistic approach to facial assessment. Sandra is certified and highly proficient in dermal filler injection, facial and body thread insertion for lifting, neurotoxin administration, wellness and diet management, and several types of laser treatments and skin care regimens for her clients of all types across lifespans.

Following highly specialized training, Sandra was nominated and awarded as teaching faculty for Galderma, where she has held a prestigious status of an instructor and trainer for a major aesthetic company. Currently, Sandra provides training to other medical providers who share an interest in aesthetics across all skill levels. Her compassionate approach and professionalism offer all learning participants an excellent entry into the world of aesthetics.

Joanna Bentz - Esthetician

Joanna is one of our licensed medical estheticians and laser technicians.
She graduated top of her class at the Naperville Skin Institute and went on to advance her education with additional skincare courses and certifications. Joanna also has her license as an educational esthetics instructor, where she taught for several years. She went on to pursue her passion for skincare and esthetics, working in a medical spa field, giving her the experience of enhancing and providing non-surgical treatments with a focus on client education. She aims to provide safe and high quality, effective natural-looking results by performing a thorough consultation with each patient. With over a decade of experience, Joanna has a natural eye for beauty and stays updated on the cutting edge of
new technology.

Jumana Mansour-Ali, NP

Jumana is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, who has a rich passion for aesthetic medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL, where she secured her Bachelors in Nursing. She furthered her education and graduated with high honors from Olivet Nazarene University with her Masters in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

She specialized in Adult Critical Care and Cardiac intensive Care prior to joining Dermatology Surgery where she gained experience for over five years prior to focusing her attention on aesthetics. Her experience in working in intensive situations as well as her dexterity in precise procedures have become valuable in her work as an aesthetic provider. Jumana performs injectable treatments such as Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, Restylane, PRP, and Kybella as well as other treatments such as Sculptra, Instalift threads and laser treatments.

Jumana’s treatments are targeted to restore a youthful appearance, delay signs of aging, and improve overall skin quality. Jumana’s injectable ideology is to deliver noticeable, natural results in a safe manner. When she is not helping patients achieve their skin goals, Jumana enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, going on vacation, and taking her puppy to the dog park on weekends.

Gabriela Chomiak, RN

Gaby is a committed Nure Injector that began her career in ICU surgical trauma. She deeply cares for all of her patients and has worked intensive care at Loyola University Hospital where, during her tenure, she’s received multiple Magis awards for exceptional patient care. She was also the recipient of Palos Hospital’s very first Daisy Foundation Award for outstanding nursing care and compassion. 
 
Gabriela has many years of an experience as a Nurse Injector and is also an FNP student. She is highly educated and trained in advanced aesthetics and facial rejuvenation which is her passion in life. She has received certifications from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), where she was trained by leading experts. She is highly trained in Dysport, Botox®, Juvéderm®, Restylane, Belotero, Xeomin, Versa, Radiesse, RHA, and Kybella.  She continues to learn about new products and procedures in Facial Esthetics on a frequent basis. She is certified and trained in Microneedling with PRP and Sculptra for the face and body as well as PDO threads and weight loss. She has recently become a trainer for PDO threads with Renovatio, where she shares her knowledge with new medical providers. 
 
Gabriela combines her many years of surgical trauma care and expertise in aesthetics to achieve beautiful results for her patients in a safe and comfortable setting. Gaby is a great listener that takes the time to get to know her patients. She sees herself as an artist and takes great pride in helping her patients achieve their best outcome. “I love helping my patients feel and look their best. My ultimate goal is to safely provide my patients the best outcome they long for and deserve”, Gaby

Morgan Sparks

Morgan is a licensed medical esthetician. Morgan went to Tricoci University where she received her esthetician license, she proceeded to do continuing education at Skin Thrive Institute where Morgan received her license as a Laser Technician and her certification in the medical field of aesthetics.

Morgan focuses on result-driven treatments. She has comprehensive training and years of experience with microneedling, chemical peels, PRP, IPL, HydraFacial, Laser hair removal, and more. Morgan is focused on learning new technology and treatments for her patient’s needs. She provides thorough and educational consultations for each individual. She supplies clinical treatments for acne, eczema, hyperpigmentation, and dry, oily, and sensitive skin.

Kate Slonina - Massage Therapist

Kate is our Massage Therapist. She’s been a massage therapist since 2015. She specializes in deep tissue and sports massage; She is also a certified stretch technician. Her passion is helping people feel better through her touch and working out.
